The Ole Luglan Family came to America in 1856. They settled in Livingston County, Illinois. Ole and Julia Luglan brought four children with them. After settling in Livingston County, they had six more children. In 1900, three of those children and their families came to the Radcliffe area; Engle Engleson (Martha Luglan) family, Joseph Luglan Family and Henry Luglan Family.

Ola Olson and Gunnhild Nilsdtr lived first at Tøtland Farm, Hjelmeland Parish, Rogaland County, Norway. After a 1856 emigration, they lived in Livingston County, Illinois. Ola was the son of Ola Jensson and Marta Jonsdtr. He was born in 1824, Hjelmeland Parish, and died in 1891, Livingston County, Illinois. Ola married Gunnhild in 1847. Gunnhild was the daughter of Nils Reidarson and Gunnhild Johannesdtr. She was born in 1822, Hjelmeland Parish and died in 1896, Livingston County, Illinois.

Children from this marriage were:

i. Jens was born in 1848, Hjelmeland Parish. He left for America in 1856. His name became John, after coming to the US
ii. Ola was born in 1850, Hjelmeland Parish. He left for America in 1856. His name became Ole, after coming to the US.
iii. Gunla was born in 1853, Hjelmeland Parish. She left for America in 1856. Her name became Julia, after coming to the US.
iv. Marta was born in 1856, Hjelmeland Parish. She left for America in 1856. Her name became Martha, after coming to the US.
v. Rachel was born in Livingston County, Illinois.
vi. Bob (Robert?) was born in Livingston County, Illinois.
vii. Joseph was born in Livingston County, Illinois.
viii. Henry was born in Livingston County, Illinois.
ix. Melinda Lavina was born in Livingston County, Illinois. She only lived for one year.
x. Melinda Lavina was born in Livingston County, Illinois.

Ola Jensson and Marta Jonsdtr lived at Laugaland Farm, Hjelmeland Parish, Rogaland County, Norway. Ola was the son of Jens Olson and Brita Jensdtr. He was born in 1786, Hjelmeland Parish, and died in 1881, Hjelmeland Parish. Ola married Marta in 1814. Marta was from Kleivaland Farm (31c). She was born in 1793, Hjelmeland Parish, and died in 1873, Hjelmeland Parish.

Children from this marriage were:

i. Jens was born in 1815, Hjelmeland Parish. He died in 1846.
ii. Malene was born in 1818, Hjelmeland Parish. She settled at Tuntland (13).
iii. Jone was born in 1821, Hjelmeland Parish. He settled at Laugaland (20).
iv. Ola was born in 1824, Hjelmeland Parish. He settled at Tøtland (61).
v. Osmund was born in 1828, Hjelmeland Parish. He settled at Bergeland, Årdal (17).
vi. Lars was born in 1831, Hjelmeland Parish. He settled at Laugaland (21).
vii. Brita was born in 1834, Hjelmeland Parish. He settled at Kleivaland (33).

Nils Reidarson lived at Hetland Farm, Hjelmeland Parish and Gunnhild Johannesdtr lived at Nedre Hauge Farm, Hjelmeland Parish, Rogaland County, Norway. Gunnhild was the daughter of Johannes Ågeson and Rannveig Torbjørnsdtr. She was born in 1795, Hjelmeland Parish
