The Samson Sampson Family came to America in 1866. Sam and Kristi brought their many children with them. Among those children were Oscar, John and Christ. These three sons later settled in the Radcliffe area. They farmed in Concord Township, Hardin County.

Samson Ivarson and Kristi Olsdtr lived at Helvik Farm, Kvinnherad Parish, Hordaland County, Norway. Samson was the son of Ivar Abelsson and Kari Samsonsdtr. He was born in 1817 and died in 1893. Samson and Kristi married in 1852. Kristi was the daughter of Olav Gabrielson and Åsa Jonsdtr. She was born in 1824 and died shortly after going to America in 1866.

Children from this marriage were:

i. Olav was born in 1852.
ii. Olav was born in 1853.
iii. Anna Karine was born in 1854.
iv. Ivar was born in 1856.
v. Kristen Johan was born in 1858. Another name for Kristen Johan was Christ.
vi. Johannes was born in 1861. Another name for Johannes was John.
vii. Askjel was born in 1863. Another name for Askjel was Oscar.

Ivar Abelsson and Kari Samsonsdtr lived at Helvik Farm, Kvinnherad Parish, Hordaland County, Norway. Ivar was the son of Abel Ivarsson and Sissel Oldsdtr. He was born in 1785 and died in 1824. Ivar married Kari in 1811. Kari was the daughter of Samson Johannesson and Elisebet Jonsdtr. She was born in 1789 and died in 1860.

Children from this marriage were:

i. Seselie was born in 1813 and died the same year.
ii. Abel was born in 1814.
iii. Samson was born in 1817 and died in 1893.
iv. Johannes was born in 1820 and died in 1821.
v. Ivar was born in 1822 and died in 1856.
vi. Ivar was born in 1824.

Olav Gabrielson and Åsa Jonsdtr lived at Skarvatun Farm, Kvinnherad Parish, Hordaland County, Norway. Olav was the son of Gabriel Olsavson and Kristi Eliasdtr. He was born in 1793 and died in 1873. Olav married Åsa in 1819. Åsa was the daughter of Jon Gjertsson and Anna Pedersdtr. She was born in 1791.

Children from this marriage were:

i. Gabriel was born in 1820.
ii. Jon was born in 1822.
iii. Kristi was born in 1824.
