Thomas B. Olson emigrated from Norway in 1871. He initially settled in Illinois. A few years later he moved to the Radcliffe area. He was born 14 May 1854 and died in 1911, while on a visit to Norway. He was buried in the cemetery next to the church that he attended when a youth. His parents were Tosten Olsson and Elen Larsdtr.

Children were:

• Torine B. Olson was born on 8 Feb 1890
• Albert B. Olson was born in 1893
• Thomas M. Olson was born on 2 Jan 1910

Tosten Olsson and Elen Larsdtr lived on Bø Farm in Rennesøy Parish, Rogaland County, Norway. Tosten was born 12 February 1804 and died 28 March 1867. His parents were Ola Tostensson and Anna Larsdtr. Elen Larsdtr, from Sørbø Farm , was born 28 January 1827 and died 13 August 1893. Tosten and Elen were married18 November 1846.

Children from this marriage were:

i. Maren was born 13 October 1846 (She emigrated from Norway to the US)
ii. Laurits was born 8 April 1849 and died 17 March 1869, unmarried.
iii. Olava was born 9 March 1852 (He emigrated from Norway to the US in 1872)
iv. Thomas was born 14 May 1854 (In 1871, Thomas emigrated from Norway, ultimately, settling in the Radcliffe area.)
v. Olena Maria was born 11 October 1856 (She emigrated from Norway to the US in 1880)
vi. Morten was born 20 May 1858
vii. Eliana was born 15 February 1861
viii. Torstein was born 20 January 1867

Ola Tostensson and Anna Larsdtr lived on Bø Farm in Rennesøy Parish, Rogaland County, Norway. Ola was born 20 February 1779 and was buried 26 March 1812. His parents were Tosten Olsson and Malena Mikalsdtr. Anna, from Sør Reianes Farm , was born 1 January 1775 and died 29 October 1836. Ola and Anna were married 19 June 1803.

Children from this marriage were:

i. Tosten was born 12 February 1804
ii. Lars was born 3 October 1807 (Lars emigrated from Norway to the US in 1836)
iii. Mikal was born 12 January 1812 (Mikal emigrated from Norway to the US in 1839)
